Would You Rather

Summertime is over, but the living's still easy. Unlike our comrades in the real world, our toughest daily choices typically involve whether we'd prefer a cuba or a beer, salsa or reggeton, beer or lite beer (just kidding; lite beer is for pussies). With that in mind, we've compiled a few thought experiments to keep your minds fresh. Send in your choices and rationales to xelawho@gmail.com and we'll publish the top submissions.

Would you rather have a hamster-sized rhino or a rhino-sized hamster? What considerations would influence your decision?

Would you rather, if given no alternative, kill and eat an elderly person or a baby?   What if they were already dead? Would gender play a role in your decision? Would it bother you if they tasted delicious?

Would you rather be dumped for an attractive and successful person or an ugly loser? If this person were the same sex as your former partner, would this make you feel better or worse about yourself?

Would you rather walk in on your parents having sex or have them walk in on you having sex? Would you rather walk in on your parents having dirty, raunchy sex or your grandparents having normal sex? Yes, we just made you picture your grandparents having sex. Have fun trying to sleep tonight.

Would you rather be ten percent more intelligent but appear twenty percent dumber to the rest of the world or the converse?

Would you rather, if forced to compete for your life in a series of athletic and intellectual trials, face a person selected at random or a person of your exact athletic and intellectual abilities?

Would you rather be beaten so badly that even your best friends don't recognize you or stop flirting with my girlfriend? That's what I thought, José…
