| BUSES
San Pedro: Buses from San Pedro leave from
the center of town. The closest stop to the lake is in front of
the church, but if you want a seat you should go to the start of
the line, 200 meters up from the corner, in front of the bank.
Xela: All buses to San Pedro leave from the Terminal
Minerva. If you’re not feeling up to that level of chaos,
they also all pass the corner of 19 Av and 7 Calle, Zone 3 and stop
there, spruiking for passengers. If you miss a direct one, get any
Guate-bound bus, jump off at Km 148.5 and make your connection there.
Guate: Ignore what your guidebook says - all buses
to San Pedro now leave from El Trebol in Zona 8. There are city
buses from Zona 1 and 10 that pass by - look for the “Trebol”
sign in their windshield.

LANCHAS
Pinning down lancha prices on the lake is notoriously difficult, especially
being that there’s a 3-tier price system: locals, long term
extranjeros and tourists. Here’s a rough estimation of what
you should be paying from San Pedro: |
